Who we are, and how you can contact us:
eMAG is the trade name of DANTE INTERNAȚIONAL S.A., a legal entity of Romanian nationality, having its registered office in Bucharest, Șoseaua Virtuții no. 148, sector 6, with serial number in the Trade Register J40 / 372 / 23.01.2002, unique fiscal registration code RO14399840 (hereinafter “eMAG” or “new”).
As we are always open to hearing your views, as well as providing you with any additional information you may need regarding the processing of your data, we encourage you to contact us via Marketplace Message center. Or contact your eMAG Data Protection Officer at the e-mail address: data.protection@emag.ro, or by post or courier at Șoseaua București-Nord no. 15-23, Swan Office Park, Windsor Building, 5th floor, Voluntari, Ilfov County – with the mention: to the attention of the eMAG Data Protection Officer.
We consider ensuring the right to the protection of personal data as a fundamental commitment of eMAG, therefore we will devote all necessary resources and efforts to the processing of personal data in full compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“General Data Protection Regulation”), or “GDPR”), as well as with any other legislation applicable in the territory of Romania.
As one of the key principles of this legal framework is transparency, we have prepared this document to inform you about how we collect, use, transfer and protect your personal data when you interact with us through the eMAG Marketplace application, through which marketplace partners (“Users”) can manage their business faster, through the mobile device. Thus, Users will have the opportunity to access many features including, but not limited to finalizing orders and returns registered on the eMAG website and / or eMAG application, changing prices and stocks, listing and associating new products.
For all these processes, you have the obligation to make available to the employees whose personal data you share in the application of this “Privacy Policy”.
What categories of personal data do we process?
The purpose of collecting personal data is to create an account in the Application and to confirm the identity (“User”):• Name and surname of the User’s representative / employees• Phone number of the User’s representative / employees• Email address of the User’s representative / employeesWe do not collect or otherwise process sensitive data included in the General Data Protection Regulation in special, personal data categories.
What are the purposes and grounds of processing?
We will use the personal data entered by you in the application in order to access the User account and provide access to the many functionalities of the eMAG Marketplace Platform. Including, but not limited to the finalization of orders and returns registered on the eMAG website and / or eMAG application, changing prices and stocks, listing and associating new products.
To whom we transmit your personal data
eMAG will not transmit your personal data to third parties.
How we protect the security of your personal data
We are committed to ensuring the security of personal data by implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with industry standards.
How long we keep your personal data
Generally, we will store your personal data while you have an account in the eMAG Marketplace application. You may ask us to delete certain information or close your account at any time, and we will respond to such requests, subject to the retention of certain information, including after closing your account, where applicable law or our legitimate interests so require.
What are your rights?
The General Data Protection Regulation gives you a number of rights in relation to your personal data. You may request access to your data, correct any errors in our files and / or object to the processing of your personal data. You may also exercise your right to complain to the competent supervisory authority or to go to court. Where applicable, you may also have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, the right to restrict the processing of your data and the right to data portability.More information on each of these rights can be obtained by consulting the table below.In order to exercise your rights, you may contact us through Marketplace Message center, or using the contact details listed above. Please note the following if you wish to exercise these rights:
Identity. We take the confidentiality of all records that contain personal data seriously. For this reason, please send us your requests regarding such registrations using the email address of the eMAG Marketplace account. Otherwise, we reserve the right to verify your identity by requesting additional information for confirming your identity.
Fees. We will not charge you a fee to exercise any right in respect of your personal data, unless your request for access to information is unfounded, repetitive or excessive, in which case we will charge a reasonable amount in such circumstances. We will inform you of any fees charged before we resolve your claim.
Response time. We intend to respond to any valid requests within a maximum of one month, unless this is particularly complicated or if you have made several requests, in which case we will respond within a maximum of two months. We will let you know if we need more than a month. We may ask if you can tell us exactly about what you want to receive or what you are concerned. This will help us to act faster and shorten the response time to your request.
Third party rights. We must not comply with a request that would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of other data subjects.
